Grace calls you forward. Going to God when you are ashamed feels unnatural because shame lies about God’s posture toward you. It tells you He is disappointed, distant, or finished with you. Scripture says otherwise.

To be redeemed is to be rescued at a cost. In Scripture, redemption speaks the language of the marketplace and the slave block. It means to buy back what was bound and release it into freedom.
