“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Even if these forget, yet I will not forget you.”— Isaiah 49:15 (HCSB)
There’s a deep ache that doesn’t come from failure or loss, but from feeling invisible. Forgotten. Overlooked. As if your prayers go unanswered, your tears unnoticed, and your faith unacknowledged. But feelings can deceive you. God never forgets His own.
It may seem like everyone else is getting answers, breakthroughs, and miracles—while your life stands still. But God’s silence is not His absence, and His timing is never careless. He is working even when you can’t see it. His hand is steady in the hidden places, shaping your future while strengthening your faith.
Hagar, an abused servant cast into the wilderness, thought she was utterly alone. Yet God met her in that desolation and revealed Himself by a name that still brings comfort today: El Roi, “the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13). He saw her pain. He spoke her name. And He reminded her that her life still mattered.
God sees you too. You are not a face lost in the crowd or a name forgotten in heaven. You are known, pursued, and deeply loved. Even when others overlook you, He never does. Your name is engraved on the palms of His hands, and your story is still being written by the One who never loses sight of His children.
Prayer: A Prayer for the Forgotten Heart Lord,It feels like I’ve been overlooked, like my voice is too small and my life too quiet to matter. But I know that’s not what You say.Remind me that You see me, that You know every detail of my life, and that You are near even when I feel forgotten.Thank You for being El Roi, the God who sees. Thank You that I am never truly alone. In Jesus’ name,Amen.
