John 1:4 "In Him was life, and that life was the light of men."
Jesus is not only the eternal Word and true God—He is also the Light that brings life.
In a world darkened by sin, confusion, and death, Jesus entered as the Light of Men.
His life illuminates truth, reveals God’s character, and exposes what is hidden in the human heart. But unlike harsh light that blinds or condemns, His light brings healing, clarity, and peace.
To call Him the Light of Men is to recognize that apart from Him, we cannot see clearly. We do not understand who we are, why we exist, or what matters most. But in Him, life makes sense. The Light does not flicker or fade—it shines into every shadow with redeeming power.
John’s Gospel reminds us that the darkness has not overcome the Light. No trial, no culture, no failure can extinguish Him. When Jesus lights your path, you don’t just survive—you live.
Selah:
Reflect on how Christ shines light into the dark areas of our lives, not to condemn, but to heal.
How might you rest in the light of christ today?
Prayer: Jesus, Light of Men, thank You for shining into my darkness and giving me life. Help me walk in Your light today. Let Your truth guide me, and may Your presence be the light that others see in me. Amen.
