The Image Reclaimed: In Christ, We Reflect the Father

Colossians 1:15 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”

Ephesians 4:24 “Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

To be made in God’s image is profound; to be remade in Christ’s image is even more powerful. Jesus is not only our Savior; He is the perfect revelation of God. Through Him, we begin to mirror the Father in fuller and truer ways.

The Christian life is not about behavior modification; it is about transformation. In Christ, we are spiritually reborn and continually reshaped by the Holy Spirit into people who reflect God’s heart to the world. Each act of surrender, each moment of obedience, becomes part of that divine renewal.

As you walk with Jesus, you do not become less human; you become more fully human, restored to the image God intended from the beginning. You were created to reflect His glory, and in Christ that reflection grows clearer every day.

Reflection

  1. In what ways do you see the image of Christ being renewed in your life right now?

  2. How can you reflect the Father’s heart to someone in need today?

Prayer

Father,Thank You for making me new in Christ. Shape my heart so that Your love, truth, and compassion flow through me. Let my life reflect Your character in every word and action. May others see glimpses of You when they see me. I am Yours, body, soul, and spirit.

In Jesus’ name,Amen.
