Here's a great reason to have hope in Christ today!

Deliverance in Battle

For the choir director. A Davidic psalm.

1 May Yahweh answer you in a day of trouble; may the name of Jacob’s God protect you. 2 May He send you help from the sanctuary and sustain you from Zion. 3 May He remember all your offerings and accept your burnt offering. Selah
4 May He give you what your heart desires and fulfill your whole purpose. 5 Let us shout for joy at your victory and lift the banner in the name of our God. May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.
6 Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with mighty victories from His right hand. 7 Some take pride in chariots, and others in horses, but we take pride in the name of Yahweh our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand firm. 9 Lord, give victory to the king! May He answer us on the day that we call.

Look at how God treats His beloved; let's focus on just the verbs:

He answers. The Bible is filled with the truth that God answers His own. "Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me" is a well-known promise from Psalm 50:15 Seek God He is omniscient and answers His Children. Seek Him 1st, not as a last resort.

He helps. The help God send is ultimately from Him! From his sanctuary. When God called Abram, he told Him that all the nations of the Earth would be blessed through him. This declaration is ultimately fulfilled in Jesus. God has provided the greastest help in Christ and it is a very small thing to be intimately involved in our lives with help. After Israel had won a fight against her enemies, Samuel took a stone and set it upright between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, explaining, “The Lord has helped us to this point.” (1 Sam7.12)

Do not forget the Lord doesn't! He remembers and knows you. If you have trusted Christ to save you, that's exactly what He is doing!

The Lord gives the desires of our heart and works toward fulfilling your entire purpose. Align your desires with those of Heaven and you have them. Rememer to always pray! (Luke 18)

You also know you have victory in Jesus Christ. He answers with mighty victories coming from His power alone.

Finally, He teaches us to trust in Him alone. Mechanical devices fail; human strength, determination and efforts fall short, but our God is eternally strong and saves us in Jesus!

Of course, Psalm 20 has a literal historical context, but the Lord is the Lord, He is unchanging and treats His children with kindness, love and guidance.

If you are facing battles insurmountable, You can ask Him to save you right now!

Forsake your old way of thinking about Jesus. In christ, there are answers, help, victories, purpose, and a relationship with God Himself.

Pray:

Lord Help us today! We call on You because you are God and stick closer than any brother; You are our present help and we need you now. Save lord! In Jesus Name, Amen.

If you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died to take away the sins of the World, that he will save you if you cry out to Him and ask for his favor. Ask him to fill you with His Spirit, confess and forsake your sin--especially your false opinions about Jesus. Ask His eternal help. Ask him to seal you forever. Ask it and believe that God is saving you. Thank him for creating such a world that proclaims his existence so clearly.

He will answer you, for if you believe that Christ died paying the penalty for your sin and you confess he is Lord you will not be ashamed. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved:

“This is the message of faith that we proclaim: If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. Now the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on Him will not be put to shame, for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, since the same Lord of all is rich to all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

God bless you!
