John 20:21 (HCSB)“Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’”
Many believers genuinely love Christ but never speak of Him outside the walls of the church. This is not usually because of rebellion, but because something has stalled between belief and obedience. Comfort replaces calling. Fear outweighs love. Whatever it is, the gospel remains something we cherish privately rather than carry publicly. We can change that! We can be mobilized for God's Kingdom!
Scripture shows a pattern; Those who encountered Christ were moved outward. Faith did not terminate in understanding but continues in witness. The same Spirit who forms Christ in us also sends us to others.
Growth in Christ and sharing Christ were never meant to be separated.
If we want to move from the seat to the street, from the pew to the people down the block, real change must begin at the heart level. The following five movements are ordered intentionally, beginning with the one that produces the greatest transformation.
First, believers must recover a clear understanding of the gospel itself. Many do not share their faith because they are unsure how to explain what Christ has done. When the gospel becomes simple and settled, confidence follows.
Second, believers must see evangelism as obedience, not personality. Sharing Christ is not reserved for the gifted but entrusted to the faithful. Jesus did not command temperament; He commanded witness.
Third, believers must learn to see everyday life as the mission field. Conversations, relationships, and ordinary routines are the context in which God places us to speak of Christ.
Fourth, believers need training, not pressure. When churches commit to training their people for evangelism, fear is replaced with clarity. This is the heart behind Mobilized and the work of training churches for evangelism—equipping ordinary believers to speak naturally and faithfully.
Fifth, believers must take the first step. Movement begins with obedience, not mastery. God honors willingness long before skill is perfected.
Christ never intended His church to remain seated. He forms us, grounds us, and then sends us. The same grace that saves us also moves us outward, carrying the hope of Christ to the people God has already placed in our path.
