Proverbs 24:16 (HCSB)
“Though a righteous man falls seven times, he will get up, but the wicked will stumble into ruin.”
Remember Jesus was a carpenter? It's so fitting because he makes beautiful things—You included. Thats part of why falling doesn’t disqualify you. Even when you fail, grace comes with an outstretched hand. God doesn’t abandon the fallen; He lifts them again and again. Not because you’ve earned another chance, but because His mercy is new every morning.
You’re not righteous because you never fall—you’re righteous because he declared it so when you came to Christ.
Every stumble is met with grace. Every failure becomes another reminder that your hope doesn’t rest on performance, but on a faithful God who doesn’t give up on His people.
Don’t listen to shame when it says, You should be past this by now. Listen to your Shepherd, who says, Get up. Walk with Me. I’m not done with you yet. Grace doesn’t just wipe away the past—it walks with you into the future.
Pray:
Lord, I’ve fallen more times than I want to admit. Thank You that You haven’t given up on me. Give me the courage to rise again—not by my own effort, but by Your grace. Strengthen me to walk forward, and remind me that You’re still holding me. Amen.
Reflect:
What failure or fall still tempts you to stay down in shame?
How can you take one step today in the direction of grace and restoration?
