Going to God After Times of Refreshing — What Renewal Produces

ree

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31, NIV) “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2, NIV) “Times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19, NIV)

When God brings refreshing, it doesn’t just restore what was tired—it awakens what was dormant. His renewal doesn’t merely give you strength to survive—it reorients your heart to thrive. Times of refreshing lead to clearer focus, deeper joy, renewed passion, and a sense of spiritual purpose that had been clouded or forgotten.

Going to God after a time of refreshing is not the end—it’s the beginning of fruitful movement. You find your energy rising not just emotionally, but spiritually. Old patterns lose their grip. Priorities realign. You remember what really matters—and why you were called in the first place.

The results of true spiritual refreshing are not just emotional—they’re missional. God revives you so He can recommission you. You begin to serve with joy instead of duty. You pray with hunger instead of habit. You step out in courage instead of fatigue.

And perhaps the most beautiful result? You want to be with Him more. Because when you've tasted true refreshing from the Spirit, nothing else satisfies quite the same.

Prayer:

Father, Thank You for reviving what was worn out in me. Help me carry this renewed strength into obedience and joy. Let the fruit of this refreshing be evident in my love, my work, my words, and my worship. Keep me near to You—not just when I’m empty, but even more when I’m full. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
