6-02 Holiness: Set Apart for God's Glory “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’” (1 Peter 1:15–16) “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) Holiness is not about perfection—it’s about devotion. It means being set apart for God’s purposes, living differently because you belong to a holy God. In a world that calls compromise normal, holiness calls us higher. Holiness begins in the heart but shows up in how we live—what we say, how we treat others, what we pursue, and what we walk away from. It’s not about legalism or self-righteousness. It's about closeness with God. The holier we become, the more clearly we reflect His character. We can’t achieve holiness in our own strength. But the Spirit empowers us to walk in purity, to choose obedience over impulse, and to love righteousness more than reputation. God hasn’t called you to blend in. He’s called you to shine. 🙏 Prayer: A Prayer for a Holy Life Father, You are holy, and You’ve called me to live a life that reflects You. I confess I often fall short—but I desire to walk in purity and truth. Set me apart for Your purposes. Cleanse my heart, align my desires with Yours, and help me live in a way that brings You glory. Make me holy—not by my strength, but by Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
