Grace isnât just something we receive from Godâitâs something weâre called to give. When weâve been forgiven much, we are empowered to forgive. When weâve been shown mercy, we can show mercy to others. Grace is the overflow of a heart touched by heaven.
âBe kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.â (Ephesians 4:32) âFreely you have received; freely give.â (Matthew 10:8)
Extending grace doesnât mean ignoring wrongs or avoiding truthâit means choosing compassion over condemnation. It means remembering that none of us deserve what God has freely given. And just as He meets us in our weakness, we can meet others in theirs.
Itâs not always easy. Sometimes the hardest place to show grace is in your own home, your own church, or your own mirror. But grace is powerfulâit heals, restores, and opens hearts to Jesus.
So today, let grace lead the way. Youâve been given more than enough to give some away.
đ Prayer: A Prayer for a Grace-Filled Heart
Father, Youâve shown me grace when I didnât deserve it. Help me to show that same grace to othersânot just in words, but in how I forgive, how I listen, and how I love.
Soften my heart where it's become hard. Teach me to respond like Jesusâwith truth, but always with compassion.
Let the grace Iâve received become the grace I extend.
In Jesusâ name,
 Amen.
