Grace isnāt just something we receive from Godāitās something weāre called to give. When weāve been forgiven much, we are empowered to forgive. When weāve been shown mercy, we can show mercy to others. Grace is the overflow of a heart touched by heaven.
āBe kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.āĀ (Ephesians 4:32)Ā āFreely you have received; freely give.āĀ (Matthew 10:8)
Extending grace doesnāt mean ignoring wrongs or avoiding truthāit means choosing compassion over condemnation. It means remembering that none of us deserve what God has freely given. And just as He meets us in our weakness, we can meet others in theirs.
Itās not always easy. Sometimes the hardest place to show grace is in your own home, your own church, or your own mirror. But grace is powerfulāit heals, restores, and opens hearts to Jesus.
So today, let grace lead the way. Youāve been given more than enough to give some away.
š Prayer: A Prayer for a Grace-Filled Heart
Father,Ā Youāve shown me grace when I didnāt deserve it. Help me to show that same grace to othersānot just in words, but in how I forgive, how I listen, and how I love.
Soften my heart where it's become hard. Teach me to respond like Jesusāwith truth, but always with compassion.
Let the grace Iāve received become the grace I extend.
In Jesusā name,
Ā Amen.
