5-18đ The God of Strength in Weakness â Power Where We Break

Weakness doesnât disqualify you in the kingdom of Godâit qualifies you. The very things we hide, downplay, or apologize for are often the places where God wants to demonstrate His strength. When Paul pleaded for his thorn to be taken away, God didnât remove it. Instead, He gave him something better: grace that holds under pressure.
âBut He said to me, âMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.â Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christâs power may rest on me.â (2 Corinthians 12:9) âFor when I am weak, then I am strong.â (2 Corinthians 12:10)
The God of strength in weakness is not embarrassed by your frailty. He doesnât ask you to pretend. He invites you to depend. Paulâs greatest effectiveness came not from removing the thornâbut from learning to rely on the One who carried him through it.
Our culture tells us to perform, to appear strong, to fix ourselves. But the gospel invites us to confess, to lean in, and to let Godâs grace speak louder than our limits. In fact, your weakness may be the very space where others see His power most clearly.
You donât need to hide the struggle. You need to surrender it. Because where you break, He builds. Where you limp, He leads. And where you fall, He lifts.
đ Prayer to the God of Strength in Weakness
Lord,
I donât have to be strong to be loved.
Thank You that my weakness isnât the end of my storyâitâs the place You meet me with power.
Teach me to rely on Your grace, to stop pretending, and to live from dependence.
Let others see not how strong I amâbut how strong You are through me.
 In Jesusâ name, Amen.
