Baptism is not just a ceremony—it’s a powerful declaration. When a person goes under the water, they are saying, “My old life is dead.” And when they rise again, they proclaim, “I now live in Christ.”

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death… so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:4) “Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” (Acts 2:41)

Baptism doesn’t save us—Jesus does. But baptism shows what He has done. It’s an outward sign of an inward transformation. It’s a moment of obedience, a public witness, and a joyful celebration.

It’s also a reminder: We don’t belong to the world anymore. We belong to Christ. We’re no longer slaves to sin—we are alive to God.

If you’ve been baptized, remember your commitment. If you haven’t, consider the invitation. The water doesn’t cleanse your soul, but it boldly says: “I am His.”

🙏 Prayer: A Prayer of Commitment Through Baptism

Lord Jesus, Thank You for saving me and calling me into new life. Thank You for the gift of baptism—a sign of Your grace and my surrender.

Help me live every day in light of that moment—dead to sin, alive to You. Let my life be a reflection of the change You’ve made in me.

Whether I am freshly baptized or remembering that day long ago, help me stay anchored in Your love and Your calling.

In Your name,

 Amen.
